Washed linen, explained simply
23 August 2026

What does “washed” mean?
Washed linen goes through an industrial wash after weaving. The result: linen’s natural stiffness disappears, and the fabric is supple and soft from the first wear — instead of taking months to break in.
Why 185 g/m²?
It is the weight we chose for our abayas and dresses: dense enough to be perfectly opaque — non-negotiable for modest clothing — light enough to drape fluidly and stay cool.
Care
Machine wash at 30°C, colours separately, inside out. Air dry preferably. Light creasing is part of linen’s charm — a gentle iron if you prefer a crisp drape.
Cared for properly, linen of this quality softens for years without losing its shape.
